Crossrope FAQs

What if I am between sizes?

If you happen to fall in-between two sizes (example – you’re 5’8.5″ or 1.74m tall and you’re not sure whether to go Medium or Large), we recommend using the following guidelines:

  • If you’re new to jump rope training and have never jumped before, go with the longer option (Large, in this example) as this will give you more room for error as you’re learning.
  • If you already have experience with jumping or you’re generally well-coordinated, then it really comes down to personal preference. If you want to maximize the speed of your jumping, go with the shorter option (Medium, in this example). If you generally enjoy jumping with a longer rope for tricks and freestyle jumping, go with the longer option (Large, in this example).

Which is the best option for beginners?

Weighted ropes (like the 1/2 LB Infinity Rope in our Get Lean Set) are great for beginners and are much easier to learn with than a standard PVC rope.

When the weight is distributed throughout the length of the rope, you get extra feedback that allows you to time your jumps better. This enables even the most uncoordinated of jumpers to time his or her jumps and to build coordination, rhythm, and confidence.

We generally recommend our Get Lean Set for Beginners as a great starting point to work on technique and get some experience with weighted skipping ropes before adding heavier ropes to the set.

The Get Lean Set is our best selling product.

Can I use the ropes outdoors?

We do not recommend them for outdoor use unless you have some sort of rubberized pad or mat, or even cardboard to jump on.

Crossrope jump ropes are intended for non-abrasive indoor surfaces. In order to safely benefit from the high-performance nature of steel cable, there is a vinyl coating to provide some protection and to prevent the ropes from crimping.

The sacrifice for this high performance is that the vinyl will wear down if it is used outdoors on unprotected surfaces.

If you do opt to use the cables outdoors, you can expect the vinyl to wear down. However, the rope core itself is durable enough to remain intact and prevent the rope from snapping.

What is your size exchange process?

We offer a "No Nonsense" exchange program if you choose the wrong size rope or set.

Our expectation is that you have the time to try your new ropes and make sure the rope size is correct based on your height and technique. When you first receive your ropes, try them on a soft non-abrasive surface (eg. carpet, rubber) and if you're happy with the size, you're good to go.

If you're not happy with the size and you feel the length of the rope is too long or short, let us know and we'll initiate the Size Exchange Process:

  1. We'll coordinate with our courier to deliver the new ropes and pick up the old ones.

It's that simple.

We recognise the sizing of ropes can vary across individuals, based on jumping technique and experience. It's, therefore, our promise to make sure you end up with the right size for you, or we'll refund your money.

Refund Policy

We stand by the quality of our products and the experience you will have with them.

So, if you are not happy with your rope, for whatever reason, simply send them back for a full refund within 60 days of delivery.

It's that simple. No risk at all.

If you would like to return your product for a refund, simply contact us and we'll initiate the Refund Process.

How does it Work?

Simple....

  1. We'll ask you to send your product back to us.
  2. Upon receiving the returned items, we will inspect to ensure all items are returned.

What is the warranty policy?

All Handles come with a lifetime warranty (handles purchased prior to 2020 come with a 2-year Warranty) but unfortunately, we cannot offer any warranty on the ropes.

As you can imagine, with the variety of surfaces that people may jump rope on, it makes it very difficult for us to guarantee the lifespan of a cable. One customer may jump rope on a rough brick driveway, which will wear the cables down much faster than a customer jumping on a smooth rubber gym floor. To extend the lifetime of your jump rope, it's about choosing softer surfaces, like rubber mats/gym floors over harsh surfaces like outdoor areas and concrete.

Whilst the Infinity Series cables have improved coating and can be used in an outdoor environment, the simple fact is that they will last longer on softer surfaces, as any rope would. There's simply no way we can control the life-span of the cable given the various types of surfaces it can and will be used on.
